But the cam specs and "intensity" certainly has an influence as well on
pressures.
Engine is not built yet and the info is needed by Jeff Schlemmer
(www.advanceddistributors.com) to recalibrate original distributor
accordingly. He can live without but the recurving would be better suited
with some idea of the cylinder pressures.
Cam is a Piper 3TR specs by TR Enterprises (a think it is a special grind
for them) with 3000; 40/80-80/40, lift .452-.450''but as Simon Watson told
me, cam is not so extreme it may look from the numbers, so it is relatively
tractable mid range, if this info may help on the subject.

Or did Simon have the opportunity to measure cylinder pressures with this
cam installed and a CR of approx. 10:1 ?

Gentlemen,

How can I calculate the cylinder pressures in a TR3A head, with 87 mm Mahle
flat pistons and 10:1 compression ratio ?

Stroke is standard.

If it is possible at all, as it may depend on inlet flow capabilities I
suppose.

Engine will run extensively flowed SU 1 3/4 H6 as well as also much flown
inlet manifold (base is the stock item, but no increase in tube ID, just
radiusing everything corner) and larger (1.634'') and modern shape inlet
valves. If this info is of use for the question.

Thank you !
Cheers!

Alex
