You can add two-stroke oil to the fuel, that will help to protect the tank
walls.
Mixture 1:100

The old formula gas tank sealers are not impervious to ethanol. I recently
worked on a Model T Ford that had sealer applied some time ago, and it
turned
into a green goo and completely clogged the entire fuel system. This
necessitated replacing the tank (it was leaking anyway, probably why it was
sealed initially) making a new fuel line from the tank in the trunk to the
carb, and completely disassembling the carb and thoroughly cleaning it out.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but better than putting it in service
and having to do what I had to.
