interest to one of us. At the moment, I have enough engines and have no need
for a transmission. The seller is a good guy with a very interesting Volvo
powered Marcos GT.

I am the guy who owns and drove the Marcos at Thunderhill a couple of weeks
ago. At any rate, I have a TR3 engine and transmission that I am going to
sale. I have attached pictures of the engine. I don't seem to have a picture
of the transmission. I don't really know the history of these items. I bought
them as "spare parts" for a TR3 I own. Using the flywheel the engine turns
over easily enough. I dropped the pan and the insides are clean and the
bearing caps seem to be in the right places as do the rod caps.The rocker
shaft is definitely bad. The studs holes in the exhaust manifold are bad. The
engine hasn't been run since it was painted Austin Healy green (overspray
still in the exhaust ports)The transmission (no overdrive) seems to find all
the gears but beyond that I haven't looked at the insides. I would like to get
$250 for the pair which is a lot less than I paid for them. I am not
interested in buy or selling "junk", therefore I will refund your money if you
decide within 2 weeks that you don't want them for any reason. Let me know by
email or phone if you have any interest. Tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon I plan
on moving them to my aircraft hanger in San Martin to stage them with a lot of
other items that i am going to advertise on Craig's list etc. so I would
appreciate hearing back before then.
