One thing to be careful about here -- copyrights.

Often trackside photos are taken by professional photographers who expect to
be paid when their work is published. Therefore, for any photo sent you need
to have, at minimum, the name of the photographer (or sometimes just the
agency will do, such as "Photo courtesy of Getty Images"). Then you need to
get clearance (permission) from that photographer. Since presumably this is
a calendar among individuals of similar amateur persuasion, and nobody or
entity is making any real profit off the project, you might be able to get
the photo released for free from some photographers, but even for free you
should put a photo credit beside the picture.

Sometimes when racers buy a photo they also buy a release with it. Then the
copyright belongs to the photo subject instead of the photographer and the
subject can do whatever he wants with it. However, if known, you should
STILL credit the photographer.

Yes, even amateur photographers hold a legal copyright to photos they took.
Simply put, you cannot use it without permission, and the subject can give
that permission only if he has purchased or been given the right to do so
(now if his wife shot the picture, don't worry about it -- but give her the
