I found out the hard way that if you use the cannon intake manifolds for du=
al DCOE's you have to make your own gaskets.=20
I had gaskets from three separate sources and none worked on the cannons. I=
made=C2=A0mine from steel core material from NAPA and treated them like he=
ad gaskets with copper coat on both sides.=20

Over the past several years our racing program got tired of what was on the=
=20
general market and began production crushable graphite die cut gaskets at=
=20
about .060" in thickness. =C2=A0They have a stainless steel insert and work=
=20
flawlessly. I and other racing FOt'ers' have been using them for perhaps 7=
=20
years now. =C2=A0Moss will be carrying them very shortly.=20
Very shameless self promotion. =C2=A0But, I have not brought this forward=

I had problems with this before and it turned out to be an untrue header=20
flange. Once I fixed the flange issue, I have gotten away with doubling up=
=20
on the standard gaskets, but they eventually fail. I had a company that=20
makes graphite gaskets for industrial purposes run me a small batch a few=
=20
years ago. These have performed flawlessly. I'll go thru my records and sen=
d=20
there info later today. Great company.=20

Perhaps the lower studs weren't tightened enough(?). What gasket would you=
=20
recommend to replace it? I forget what was there before- probably one that=
=20
came with the set I got from BFE...=20
