All the great GT6 race cars I have studied have used Stock Rods.
Kas Kastner = Stock Rods; 12.75 CR regularly pulled 8000 RPM
John Reed= Stock Rods; 12.5 CR Shift point 7500 RPM

ALL 3 of my race motors= Stock Rods 12.5 to 12.75 CR 7500 to 8000 RPM

I have nothing bad to say about Carrillo.

In terms of $ best spent on a GT6 motor.
Money would be spent on a wonderful head first; milling, porting; trick
valves, guides, springs, pushrods and tappets.
And some nice Venoilia pistons.

The bottom end of a properly built GT6 motor is perfectly fine with stock
Rods and a Stock Crank. (lightened, balanced and nitride, shot peened;
rods match weighted and assembled exactly and precisely with ARP bolts)
In its lightened factory parts state it can take all the power you can
throw at it.

And of coarse there is the Cam that is very important. which has been
explored recently and is its own critical exploration. (with cam bearings
for me)

In all my notes from myself and previous greats: I have recorded failures
of many things,
Not rods, cranks or blocks.

Thus, when you have all the rest of the motor and car able to take the
beating that 7000 plus can throw at it.
At that time perhaps some carrillos or honda Rods or a billet crank.
until then that $ will be far more useful someplace else.

Basic Notes and Ideas gathered here are from what I submit as true race
proven data and evidence gathered from books (in and out of print)
More importantly motors that were each developed to their current state
from GT6 race cars that raced regularly at the front of the pack over a 40
year period.
