 These cars do best with a pad that's tapered, not rectangular, when lookin=
g at the friction surface, ie wide at the top (outer), and tapering down a =
bit at the bottom, it will help equalize the wear.Also there are all sorts =
of real good friction materials/compounds available today but the problem i=
s getting rid of all the heat they generate; that's not really possible on =
most Vintage cars because it requires bodywork mods and ducting.Glen

Here are two different sets of CarboTech pads. Same part number.
You can see that the backing plate is ground down and the pad is shaped at =
the same time. Other detail differences are also evident. The edge of the p=
ad was contacting the caliper slot.=C2=A0 Pretty sloppy construction.
