I think it=E2=80=99s perfectly fine to have brought up the topic here, and h=
ave a few exchanges about it, but as an off topic turns into a more involved=
thread, there comes a time to think about options, like taking it private a=
mongst those that chimed in.
I provided a triumph forum link, where the topic is specifically the issue b=
eing discussed. Clearly there is a plethora of info posted there and anythi=
ng an FOT member could offer there would reach a larger spectrum of Roadster=
Factory customers/investors then on this private group.
I didn=E2=80=99t call for posts to stop, to be removed, or anyone to be canc=
elled. I just agree that the forum should try to steer itself to staying r=
elatively on topic. =20
Yes, we choose what we read and what we don=E2=80=99t, but if it didn=E2=80=99=
t matter how many subject lines we must scroll through, why not join dozens o=
f newsgroups? Few people want to scroll through hundreds of emails to find=
the few they think they want to read.
A few back and forths on nearly any topic should be allowed without folk cry=
ing murder, because it gives members a chance to share a topic and find memb=
ers/friends that have an interest, etc. If you can=E2=80=99t post anything=
unless it=E2=80=99s racing specific, it stifles the social aspect of the ne=
wsgroup.
