My usual first response to questions about Weber carbs is that the main
advantage of them is that they are infinitely adjustable.  The main
disadvantage is that they are infinitely adjustable.  One can spend a
lifetime and many many dollars on little brass bits trying to get them
just right.  But if you do get them just right ...

I thought I had the jetting specs for the carbs I had on The White Car,
a '67 4A somewhere on my computer, haven't found them yet.  I imagine
some of the more organized folks here can jump in with specific details
on choke size and jetting.  42s are the hot ticket as I recall, but good
luck finding a pair of those!
