Your information is correct Irv. When Jonathan bought it from Don, it was =
in bad need of TLC. He drove it as purchased once or maybe twice. It was no=
t running well and leaked oil badly from the engine and transmission. It ha=
d low compression on a couple of cylinders so we pulled the engine and tran=
smission at his home. But progress was slow then he got a job that moved hi=
m away from near me. I bought him out, then finished reconditioning the eng=
ine and resealing the transmission. I had all the battle scars smoothed out=
and painted a not very particular paint job. The brakes and fuel cell were=
replaced and I put the Panasport wheels and new Hoosier tires on. I raced =
it for the last time at the Kastner Cup at Blackhawk. At the time I also ha=
d two racing Minis so the TR 4 was sold to Najeb Kahn (sp?) on Bring a Trai=
ler. It was recently sold at the RM Sotheby's Auction in Elkhart Indiana fo=
r $17,360 according to Classic Motorsport.=C2=A0

The number and the red wire wheels are the key giveaways. That's Don Brick=
's former car. That car wasraced for many years in the midwest. Don was my =
instructor at Drivers' School in 1999.=20
Don sold the TR4 to Jonathon Suhre a number of years ago, but I don't think=
Jonathon raced it more than once or twice.=20
Jonathon's Dad Ken may have had it out a bit as well. Ken is a TRiumph guy =
with a really nice TR3, and he has vintage raced formany years in his Mini.=
Looking at the pics from 2018, Ken did a complete makeover of the car. Ken=
sold the TR4 on BAT in 2018.The link is in the first paragraph of the curr=
ent BAT ad.
I don't know if Ken is on the FOT list, but if anyone here is interested in=
