As you can see below, Henry was able to help me with the gearbox mainshaft=
question (more information than I requested, but useful nonetheless).=C2=
=A0 I's still like to know which rear axle my 25" shaft goes into (TR-3 or =
TR-4?)=C2=A0 Thanks.

 Jack,

Early mainshaft - referred to as the imperial - TR3B - up to TR6-CD21768, t=
he nose of the shaft is .875".
Late mainshaft - referred as the metric - was used in the TR6 from CD21769 =
onwards, the nose is .832".

Cheers

I have 2 items that I need help in identifying and I'm sure some of you hav=
e these items laying around and can check them out.=C2=A0 Thanks in advance=
 for your help.

First item is a transmission mainshaft.=C2=A0 The nose of this shaft (where=
it slides into the roller bearing) measures .875" in diameter.=C2=A0 I thi=
nk this is a TR-4 mainshaft, but it could be a TR-6.=C2=A0 I think the TR-6=
mainshaft nose was slightly smaller in diameter than the TR-4, but I can't=
remember the diameters of each.=C2=A0 Can someone help me identifies which=
 this is?

Second item is a rear axle shaft.=C2=A0 It measures 25" long.=C2=A0 First, =
is it from a TR-3 or TR-4 rear axle?=C2=A0 I know that the two axle shafts =
in a unit were different lengths.=C2=A0 In whichever axle this goes (TR-3 o=
r TR-4) is it the short one or the long one?

Again, many thanks.

Jack
