Thank you. We appreciate the time you took to write what you did. We are hav=
ing a very nice weekend. I started coming here over 40 years ago with my fat=
her. He has been gone for many years. We have a lot of great memories from h=
ere as well.=20
Our car qualified in 2nd place for the DP Group yesterday. Only beaten by a r=
eal Yenko Stinger corvair that has a lot of professional support traveling w=
ith it. It is running 10 seconds faster than everyone in the group.=20
We are within a second of one of the CP 356=E2=80=99s. I also know Vic and a=
lways enjoy spending time with him. He is not here. There are a lot if ver=
y well supported 356=E2=80=99s and 911=E2=80=99s from Ecurie here. Mark and I=
have been friends for decades and I enjoy learning from him.=20
Still 3 more sessions left to catch the 356 and work on improving my driving=
.=20
All-in-all we are having a great weekend.=20

ace of the year (other than The Runoffs), and Road America was one of my 2 f=
avorite tracks (along with Road Atlanta). I first went there in 1975, when I=
was first getting started, and was not very competitive. Qualified 17th in=
DP with a time of 3:14 & finished 7th, mostly due to attrition. I was a bi=
t overwhelmed by that 4 mile track. Over the years The car (and I) improve=
d to the point where I won my race twice, once in 1989 when Vic Skirmants wa=
sn't there, then in 1991 beating Vic by a car length (or less). I qualified=
first overall with a time of 2:42, and had a best time during the race of 2=
:41, finishing first overall.
