   I don't know what the "Gripper" is, but if it is anything like "Phantom G=
rip" that you add to a stock diff to create friction to "lock" the two sides=
, It doesn't work.&nbsp; The Quaife works fine until you lose drive on one o=
f the two sides and then it totally uncouples the diff from the drive train.=
&nbsp; You end up pushing the car off the track.

     Just my two cents worth (no cash value), but we have a Detroit locker i=
n the TR3 and my wife runs a welded diff in the TR6. I raced both this weeke=
nd at RA, and frankly don't notice any difference except in the pits or push=
ing the car. Bear in mind that neither us, nor our cars have ever been descr=
ibed as super-fast. I do notice the difference when racing my Bugeye with an=
 open diff, as it lifts the inside rear and loses drive.&nbsp;
