Thanks to Yvonne for alerting me to the need to download the Geez driver
for XP. However, that didn't solve the problem. Byron: I checked the
hotsync (it was not active I tried to download the data) and the Com1
port (there appears to be no contention).

I tried setting up the download without the RS232 cable connected and it
gave me the proper "no connection" error message. I connected the cable
and got a "Ready" message.

After pressing the "download" key on the Palm Pilot, the Palm says it's
sending data, but the Lap Top concludes the transaction with an error
message and asks me to check my connections. (By the way, should I
download the file from the Palm Pilot control pad or from the Lap Top
keyboard?)

Other suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

I recently bought a Geez system from a former racer. I have loaded all
the software on both my Lap Top and my Palm Pilot. I can get a "Ready"
message when I try to send a file from the Palm to the Lap Top, but I
get an error message on the Lap Top when I hit "download" on the Palm.
If I select "OK" on the Lap Top to initiate a download, I get a
communication error.

After doing some searching, I find the program says I am in "Demo Mode".
The dongle is installed. I'm assuming there is a soft switch I have not
set. (I got no instructions with the system and I can't find anything
in the help file to explain the situation.) Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike
