Thank you to all who responded to my question on the chasis number. I
have replied off list to those
who had further questions. In short, this is a Frankenstein of a car, and
the only original parts are 
the number plates and the body tub, and part of the frame. Every thing
else came from other cars, as
many parts were either damaged or missing when I bought it. Oh well, it's
my Healey.
