If there is a prize for having seen two BN3's may I claim it?
The Canadian car is best described as an engineering exercise whilst Pat
Quinn's car is better described as a pre-production unit.
Go to Geoff's books and study the X numbers which were the job or
exercise numbers used to record costs, reports and results of tests and
you will find additional information on the development work carried out
by Geoff and Roger. It appears some chassis and test 'mules' saw a
number of exercises carried out on them, some necessitating the removal
of earlier trials. For example the books talk of a DeDion rear axle
having been fitted to the Canadian car and there does not appear to be
any structure currently fitted that would locate such a complex
item.[Please these are only my observations.]
Regards Joe
P.S. As a matter of interest we can learn a lot more from books on the
other BMC sports cars assembled in the MG -Abingdon shed. One of the MG
books has a full listing of these X numbers showing many of the
developments tested ,some making it into production.

Whats the message buy more than one book and join a couple of clubs for
the magazines, remember Donald was always wanting to build a better
mouse-trap with each car he built and we seem to be obsessed with
returning them all to as per the original mould. The only reason Healeys
made a run of same cars was due to Austin and then BMC.influence.
