I was very interested in reading the responses yesterday regarding bearings
and shims, but unfortunately my digest got deleted before I could read it.
If one of you out there hasn't erased their digest, would it be possible to
forward it to me, or send me the relevant responses? Now just being in the
process of replacing my bearings on my MGA race car (very similar to the Healey
in
design) because they destructed after five laps on its maiden outing, having
been installed without shims, I'm interested in understanding exactly what
caused the damage and how the installation of shims might have prevented it.
