Hi Alan, Tom, and All,

For anyone who's interested in an All-Healey (but not Standard) oil
filter setup, here's what I did on my 29E engine and it works well for
me: I'm a Neatnick who hates clutter so I used my stock 29E filter head
but not the 90 deg. piece that turns the filter can horizontally above
the starter. Using the stock threaded holes and bolts, I turned the
filter head over (180 deg.) where it points down and a bit forward and I
used the shorter Sprite filter can and Sprite filter insert. This was
needed to clear the engine mount tower as the 29E filter can is too long
for this position. Just change the filter insert a little more often.
Also, this arrangement won't drain back to the oil pan thereby keeping
the filter full. All this gives great access to the starter (I
converted to a GR starter) if it needs service. I'll try to attach a
photo to this post. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Jack
