Regarding potential Healey theft. I was wondering what opinions are on the
odds and nature of theft occurring with these cars.

I would think that any thefts occurring are more likely to be the "adolescent
joyride" type than the "steal it, export it, or part it out" type... With a
high percentage of Healey VIN numbers recorded, and tracked, or examined when
they come up for sale, isn't it harder and harder to "unload" a whole car
after a theft? -And to get anywhere near what it's worth, would it not have to
be sold back into the Healey community?

I would think a "professional" would find it infinitely more safe,
hassle-free, and profitable to stick to contemporary luxury and performance
cars, Yes? No? (Movies like "Gone in 60 Seconds", aside).

-Though I am not suggesting there is not high risk of theft from joyriders...
At Lime Rock, with the five 100Ss all lined up, even I felt the the "itch" to
jump into one and take it for a quick "spin".... ....-But I'd have brought it
back! ...Honest! ;-)
