According to the manual the centrifugal switch is supposed to engage the OD
(as long as the switch is in the on position) at 40 MPH and disengage it
when the road speed drops below 30 MPH. I wonder if there is a procedure for
setting the limits on the switch. Mine doesn't work within those limits
either.
