Hi Ron:    I think the RH windshield post in the photo perhaps look like 
polished aluminum because of light reflection while in fact they are 
painted.  The LH one definitely looks painted to me.
Actually I like the polished alloy look.   I have them on my BN6 and they 
look good to me. (I can email you a photo if you like).  But IMHO, if you 
want your car to look like it did when it left the factory you'll have to 
paint them body color.
