Pertronix ignition and tach

Blankany advice on this problem would be appreciated:

1966 BJ8 with electronic ignition, tach stopped working, had rebuilt, now will
not work in my BJ8 (Pertronix eletronic ignition) but will work in MG with
points and condensor,( there might be a thread on this subject in archives but
did not find it.)
