Sometimes it's the easy stuff that trips you up. At some point in time the
bracket for holding the cold air vent cable knob was modified, and the cable
holder was fashioned or adapted from a shorter piece of metal bolted to the
left side of the parcel shelf. I found a bracket that looks like the longer
bracket that comes down at an angle. It is possible that the short piece was
originally spot welded on the longer piece. If someone has an original BN2
setup, I would appreciate a photo so I can straighten things out. There is a
an angled ledge on the underside of the cowl frame that receives the upper
bolt, but I am clueless as to where the other piece attaches (firewall covered
with tarpaper, etc.) Can anyone help me out with a digital photo of the
correct assembly installed? thanks
