Please help me with some routing questions. Currently, the first 3/8 in
travel at the dash moves nothing in the engine compartment. Holding the sheath
at the end with my hand eliminates this free-play. It seems like there should
be some attachment of the sheath to something - what?
If I continue to pull quite hard, there is movement of the remote control
cable block and I can start the engine, but the effort is quite high and the
motion is only about 5/16 - 3/8 in. in addition to the free-play. Is that
correct? Initially, it seems quite rich, and little or no fast idle.
There is a return spring on each carb jet hand control lever. A friend's car
has one spring on the front carb. only.
Which is correct? The good news is that it drives just GREAT!
