If the car hasn't been converted, then, yes it would be positive ground --
easy enough to check by seeing if the positive terminal in your trunk is
connected to the cut-off switch at the rear of the trunk.
If so, and if you actually want to fit an original style radio, you might be
able to find an original radio that's wired for positive ground, but more
likely you'll need to change your electrical system over to negative ground.
Since you're in the SF Bay area, there are several members in the Golden Gate
club who can clue you in on how to do that (it's a little complicated in the
BJ8 due to the tach set-up, but still pretty easy). Check with John Trifari
