FWIW--I've used McKay aerosol disc-brake stop squeal on older 240Z brakes which didn't have shims. You just spray the backing plates with it and the brakes don't squeak. This setup has worked for years. Some people use a layer of duct tape as well. -- Steve Gerow Pasadena CA 59 BN6 |
