John, The following is information I received from my inquiry and I do
appreciate there input.

It is not part of the assembly.  It screws into the block, just 
below the valve.  It is not possible to check for it unless you remove
the 
oil pan.  However, it will not really be a problem if it is missing, just

stops a bit of foaming.
All you need to replace is the valve and the spring, and you should be
good to go. I don't ever recall the drain pipe being any sort of major
issue with oil pressure or lubrication.
