Thank you Greg. What you say makes a lot of sense. I don't think it is for a
lack of trying on anyone's part. -I suppose that with so many examples still
around, and in various states of repair / disrepair, members / nonmembers
etc, it maybe is unrealistic of me to think that the kinds of data I was
interested in could exist or even be compiled.
I tend to think of the Healey community as somewhat small, and a closed
system. --But I guess in reality, there are still so many and still a large
number outside of organized Healey associations. that even estimates are not
possible?
Even my own car, -if it were not for having done business directly with Bill
Bolton, would probably be presumed to be non-existent, or destroyed, since
until last year it was unseen in my garage for about 10 years.
Oh well.

Although the registries are certainly a resource I don't know how good of
overall information you may be able to get from them because of the great
unknown out there. In my small town I am aware of a small handful of
Healeys owned by people who aren't in our local club or a national club,
nor
do they participate in the list, my guess would be those cars aren't on any
registry, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the club members are not in
the
registry as well, but maybe they get in by the registrars checking club
rosters, if they do that do they access both national and local club
rosters?, our club has a local only option and many are not members of a
national club.
50s and sunny day after Christmas, had to take the Healey out, Ho Ho Ho and
Happy New Year.
