It is very easy swap. The early six cylinder flywheel needs to be drilled
for the bolts and dowels to match the new pressure plate if you currently have
the 10-1/2 inch clutch. Only the dowels need to redone on the 10 inch
version. Machine shop can handle for you. You must use the appropriate release
bearing matched to the BJ8 (9-1/2 inch) pressure plate and disc. They have a
different (longer) offset than the earlier unit. That is it.

My Austin Healey Club President tried to join the list last night.
He owns a beautifully cared for BN7 and would like to know if we can fit a
BJ8
Diaphragm Clutch to the car.
He has just had the Tranny rebuilt and the present clutch has been in the car
forf 14+ years and could do with replacement.
I believe it can be done.
Your thoughts please!!!.
