I need a good source to get the headers for the M jet coated. welcome all
suggestions.

Also, I am re-working the header-to-muffler connections. We had braized on
flex pipe (Moss BJ4-7 down pipes, cut to size), and used a 3000 2-bore
muffler, transitioning on the back end to a 100M 'big bore' pipe from the two
muffler exits with a Y bent to negotiate the offset of the 100-4 outrigger's
allowance for exhaust pipes. The set-up was delightful - no back pressure,
lots of brazura, and a modicum of muffling.

My only disappointment was in the transition from the header to the muffler.
The spiral wrap down pipes were tensions a bit too much and started leaking
after just 5000 miles. I want to replace these, and rather than weld them on
the headers, am thinking of making up two connectors that have slip joints at
both ends. The header-to-connector joint would be above the fender line. What
would be helpful is a source of top-quality flex pipe that won't crap out so
quickly. Does anyoune have a source? Is there anything like a two-ply flex
pipe that would have the spiral wrap appearance on the outside? (I have been
looking into OEM 'braided wire' flex connectors that have an inner core, and
these are definitely great in performance, but I fear they look a little too
Toyota).

All guidance appreciated

Allen Miller.
