I'm in the process of collecting pieces I need for a second round
restoration on my BJ8, and I am looking for a specific shroud piece:
I am looking for the upper left side of the grill, i.e. the piece
from the light bucket mount, to bonnet hole, to grill hole. If the
piece has any of the length between bonnet hole and grill, that would
be preferred, but not critical.
As many of you know, the shroud here is different (than with 100/6 and
MkIs) because the MKII & MKIII grill is slightly different. The PO
repaired my BJ8 probably 30 years ago and it is only through time and
this list that I have come to learn that my shroud is screwed up in
this area because the PO repaired this patch with a shroud piece from
a 100/6... so the grill doesn't quite fit correctly.
Since I suspect some of you may have this piece sitting around left
over from your restoration, I thought I'd give the list a try.... I'd
rather have an original piece of aluminum than a repro....
