It was advertised for "Best offer over $258,000" in Austin Healey Magazine
and I believe he paid close to that amount. I don't think the price was a big
concern to him. He had participated in the Mille Miglia in an AC Bristol a few
years back and had applied this year in a Moretti but was rejected. He felt he
would have a better shot at it in the 100S.
