Hi John;  From a S. Smith & Sons (Canada) Ltd  1949-62 Catalogue [published 
November 1961], the  identification code for an oil temp. gauge is given only 
for the 100 BN1-2 :
    Original Code   : 20933 / 139
    Superseded by : TG. 1502 / 17
  The only reference I can find for TG 1301 is as aftermarket gauges.
  Perhaps someone else can help you better.
