Tire and Wheel Size

I know that this topic has been beaten to death but I still would not mind
some feedback if possible.

 

BJ8's came with 165/15 tires (higher profile..80)

The rims on my car are 4.5" and I need to true or replace.

 

Is there an advantage to going to a larger rim..say 5.5" with a larger
tire.say 185?

 

What tread pattern looks best on the care with respect to tires..I like the
look of Vredestein, however, I am told the Gillette also looks nice.  Any
others?
