There is no way to isolate the two carbs. How do you know 1 carb won't
let you idle down?
For one thing, on HD6 carbs, the throttle screw is not for idle
adjustment. You need to disconnect the link between the two carbs so
they move independently, then bottom out the throttle plates. Throttle
screws should not be touching anything.
Are you doing that?
