Most of you will probably just hit Delete when you read this, but here goes.
A good friend of mine in western Washington who owns a body shop has agreed to
to do a ground up restoration on a BT7. He specializes in high performance
Ford Mustangs... Shelby Cobras or what ever they are called... people send him
cars from the Mid-West to do ground up restorations, but he will tackle
anything...he has done two very nice Healeys for me. This BT7 had fiberglass
fenders (first clue). I helped him find replacement fenders. He now has all
the exterior panels off the car, and when putting up on jack stands the car
sagged, and he discovered the frame is rotten. Should have done that first,
but he started w/o me seeing the car.
He is looking for a good BT7 frame. I told him "not a chance", but I would
check the List. Is there anyone out there w/ a good frame or a donor car? I
suggested just buying a replacement frame, (Jule) and we are checking on
that.
