I purchased a windscreen bracket and screw kit for my BT7 from a large
vendor. These are the brackets that fasten together the 4 corners of
the chrome pieces that surround the windscreen. Unfortunately, there is
a one sixteen inch gap at each corner - i.e., the holes in the brackets
are such that the chrome pieces are not drawn together. I thought the
problem might be the vendor and purchased another set from a healey
specialist - same problem. Unfortunately, the old brackets were
destroyed when I took the windscreen apart.
Anyone have this problem?
Does any one know where correctly drilled brackets can be obtained?
Short of welding up the holes and redrilling and tapping the brackets I
purchased, any suggestions?
