 List Experts,
My Longbridge BN4 has developed a great loss of power and
significant miss during any acceleration or uphill run. It began
suddenly some weeks ago during the extreme high temperatures, but
I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
During the restoration process just completed last year, I had
installed anew distributer cap, rotor and capacitor. Since the problems
with rotors was being reported at that time, I went back to the old
capand rotor, but it didn't help. Since then I have moved the timing
around, could make it worse but not better. The points gap was set
again, no difference.
I noticed some sediment in the fuel filter I have installed before the
fuel pump, replaced that. I opened the float bowls on the carbs and
there was a little there too, so I cleaned them out, again no change.
Although this has been covered before on this list, I am asking for
assistance to correct this condition.

  Thanks in advance,

Gordy
