rear fender beads

The body shop painting 'Emily' is concerned about bending the straight fender
beading I got from Moss around the tight radii of the rear fenders. Do you do
this in place by pulling the tabs one-by-one, or is it done off the car with
some kind of bending tool(s). Clueless about this.
