Engine Power-63 BJ7

Need help, yesterday I had a rotor to fail and had 3-4 backfires that 
sounded as though they came thru the carbs. Replaced the rotor and car fires 
great and idles great. However, went for a test drive earlier this morning 
and the car did not have the accelertion thar it normally has. It semed as 
if I had the breaks on in 2 & 3 gear.Any help would be appreciated.
