Send them to me! Seriously, take a list of the coins to any Barnes & Noble
or similar book store and get a copy of a coin collecting book  and sit at
their coffee section with the book and look up the prices. Then, I would
walk the yellow pages and get a minimum of three appraisals.

While visiting my local safety deposit box I came across my father-in-laws
and
and uncles coin collection. Maybe it is time to put these in the hands of
someone who can appreciate them.  No gold pieces.  Lots of Silver dollars,
about 30...over a 100 halfs lots of quarters, dimes, nickels,  zinc pennies,
maybe 500 or more coins.  Here is the problem....I know a bit about LBCs but
not a thing about old coins.  What is the safest, best, way to get the value
of this collection??
