Hi Mike,
If the bush is an Oilite (sintered) type of bush it should definitely be
soaked for 24 hours in engine oil before installation. This does not apply
to solid bronze bushes. You can tell if the bush is sintered by examining
the surface with a magnifying glass.

I'm putting the pilot bushing in the flywheel of my BN2.  I used to just
put them in dry.  I seem to remember someone mentioning soaking it in oil
first.  What do you guys do?
