Linwood,

By far the best rubber glue is from Wurth, comes in a small can, dont know 
number off hand, not cheap about 15-18 dollars. I use applicator brush on 
lid and brush a little on each surface then use a heat gun to dry it, 
sometimes till it bubbles ( hasent flash fired yet) then the rubber is stuck 
on for good. This stuff works extremely well on painted smooth surfaces with 
out any problems at all. The best Ive come across. You dont have to do the 
heat gun or hair dryer trick and let it air dry a little but that way 
progress moves especially when applying door seals or hardtop seals. You can 
buy straight from them in N.J.
