The only additive getting consistent recommendation is GM EOS (engine
oil supplement) that is suggested for use with new camshafts.

GM part # 1052367

Possibly cheaper at a local GM dealer.
I just opened a BN1 engine, about 12,000 miles, 5 years since last rebuild.
At the time, the original lifters were refaced--by a speed shop that
felt reuse was ok. This never works, at least on British cars.

The refaced lifters were pitted/galled, so new lifters are going in,
only about $15 /each, and hope the cam's ok.

Then I saw a post saying CD-2 was good, and that 'Big Lots' was
closing it out--(probably meaning it won't be formulated as before)
This is a very hot topic !
