FWIW. One of the guys in my local club put silicone fluid in his MGB without
draining and cleaning the system. He just bled the brakes and topped up the
reservoir with silicone. I thought for sure he had fouled up everything but
that was three years ago and up to now there have been no deleterious
effects. At this point the system is probably close to 50% silicone and 50%
