Bob,
Yes, the point of the matter regarding the dash being that they were NOT 
covered in vinyl, rather they were painted and usually the instrument pod 
was painted dull silver. In the Healey Blue and Old English White paint 
scheme of this particular early BN2 of late September '55, the dash would 
most certainly have been a midnight blue with dull silver inset. The 
interior would have been dark blue with light grey piping on seats and arm 
rest.
