I hate to be the bearer of this news but Marlene called me this evening to
tell me that Dave died last night. I spoke with her just now. She said he
went peacefully and she has family with her. I am not home to get his
address--it is in the AHCA Member handbook and perhaps someone will post it.
I know
Marlene will appreciate hearing from all.
At one time Dave was a prolific poster to this list and helped so many of us
with all kinds of things. Though I spoke with him by phone a number of
times and exchanged lots of emails, particularly about projects in which we
had a
common interest(installing NICAL hardtops on our 100's was one that was the
subject of numerous letters, photo exchanges, etc) I never got to meet Dave
in person. A few years back Gary Fuqua of Missouri, myself and Dave ( we all
had similar 100's) had corresponded about getting together for a trip
somewhere but it never came off. I regret that.
Dave was the real deal--I am richer for having known him and poorer for his
having passed.
