[Healeys] Bleeding Clutch Line

I was attempting to bleed the clutch on my '58 BN4, and accidentally
twisted off the end of the pipe (last inch) underneath the car. Noting that
there isn't a bleed screw anywhere, has anyone else cut the pipe back a
little
ways and installed a short piece of pipe with a bleed screw on it? Also, is
it possible to put in a section of rubber fuel line to bridge the gap?

Thanks
Phil
