Robert:  Many years ago, I acquired an aluminum gas pedal that is 9 inches 
long, 2 inches wide, and fastens to the floor with a hinged fitting.  The 
back of the pedal merely pushes against the stock pedal.  Very easy to heel 
and toe.  Not exactly like mine but if you look at the OMIX ACCELERATOR 
PEDAL at J. C. Whitney, you will get the idea.  I don't know why the JCW 
price is so outrageous.
