One thing that's causing a problem here in Oz at least is that the switches 
being sold as isolator switches are in fact Landrover reversing light 
switches. I guess that these are not designed to be used with the plunger 
side immersed in oil. I had one fail recently that had been in the car less 
than 2 years. It was full of oil!
